A spirit of freedom and joy filled the first annual confererence of former SDAs that met on July 30-31 in Arlington Texas. It was attended by former SDAs and SDAs from across the United States and from Mexico. It was a time of fellowship, sharing, and learning, as new friendships were forged and old friendships were strengthened.

There were tear-filled testimonies describing the sometimes difficult but worthwhile journeys of those who had studied their way out of Adventism. Moving testimonies were presented by Dr. Antonio Lopez, Lucy Alcorta, Dr. Ricardo Carrillo, Pastor Mike Holland, Dr. Kenneth Brantley, Pastor Rey Cantu, and Captain Saul Gonzalez.

Dr. Dale Ratzlaff's presentations on the Sabbath and the Investigative Judgment were well-received. ellenwhiteexposed.com editor Dirk Anderson emphasized one of the themes of the conference in his presentation, "Setting the Captives Free" (click here to view).

Upcoming conferences will be held October 16-17 in Mexico, and July 1-3 in St. Louis, Missouri.
